Meet the Yoga Teachers of Triangle Shala
In the practice of yoga, the guidance of a teacher is invaluable. As B.K.S. Iyengar wisely said, “The Guru is the one who brings you from darkness to light.” At Triangle Shala, we’re fortunate to have a community of dedicated and compassionate instructors who are here to support your journey, whether you’re taking your first step on the mat or deepening your existing practice.
We’re excited to introduce you to the incredible teachers at Triangle Shala. Each of them brings a unique blend of experience, wisdom, and passion for yoga. Get to know them, learn about their paths to yoga, and discover what inspires them to share this ancient practice with our community.
Prachiti
Prachiti has practiced yoga since childhood and is a lifelong yoga student. Through her own experiences, she discovered how yoga can be life-altering.
Apart from her yogi world, she is a full-time software engineer and mother of 2 children. She knows how chaotic life can become and how yoga could help you feel more peaceful and connected to yourself.
She wanted to contribute more to the world of yoga and as the next step on her path, she completed 200 Hours of Yoga teacher training in 2020. She has taught yoga ever since and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others through her teaching.
Prachiti’s teaching style in her Foundations of Yoga class is very sincere, thoughtful and really well-suited for ALL levels of yoga practitioners, especially those that are newer to yoga. Prachiti’s classes will leave you feeling balanced & calm.
Anjali
Please welcome Anjali Sharma to our Triangle Shala teaching team! During the pandemic, Aparna started taking online classes from teachers in India, and got connected with Anjali and was immediately hooked. Aparna wanted to bring her teaching to you all here in the US. And here we are!
Anjali’s background is impressive. She received her bachelors in yogic studies from Patanjali University, is a bronze-medal winner in India’s National Yoga competition and has won gold at her home state in state-level yoga competitions.
Do you ever feel you might not get the full experience of yoga because it’s not in person? Well, Anjali is an exception. She has a fantastic way of paying attention to you, offering guidance, building the perfect blend of Tapas in you and will make you break a sweat every time - all virtually. You will leave Anjali’s classes feeling refreshed & energized.
Aparna
Aparna has been practicing yoga for 17+ years and has a deep reverence for this ancient practice. She received her initial yoga teacher training in Cary, but then has continued to study and train in Hatha, vinyasa, and Ashtanga from respected teachers both here in the US and in India (Mysore). Aparna's aim is to bring yoga and its benefits to everyone in an environment that is inclusive, challenging (in a good way!), and compassionate. Aparna is a registered RYT-500 and continues to study and learn about the vast wisdom of yoga (forever a student).
Aparna’s teaching style draws heavily from the concepts traditional yoga teachings where the teacher aims to guide, meet the students where they are, but also challenges them a bit (with compassion and humor). You will leave Aparna’s classes feeling a bit sweaty, but calm.
Yerri
Yerri has been practicing yoga for 7+ years and has a passion for meditation and pranayama. He has had experience with Hatha, Vinyasa, and Ashtanga from respected teachers. Yerri has been an avid hiker and runner for many years; however, he pivoted to practicing yoga due to the mental and spiritual benefits.
Yerri aims to make yoga and pranayama accessible to all audiences, especially those learning for the first time. Yerri received his yoga teacher certification from the Republic of Yoga.
Yerri’s teaching style is steady, grounding, and brings a sense of knowledge & peace to the practitioner. One always walks away learning a bit more about yoga after each class and feels a sense of deep calmness.
Brittany
Brittany decided to pursue a yoga teacher training in 2013 when her full time work wasn’t giving all the good “feels” that she aspired to have on a regular basis. This decision truly changed her life – Brittany has found some of her closest high-vibe friends through yoga and discovered that she loves to teach and be taught! Brittany enjoys teaching a variety of styles from gentle or yin to vinyasa and arm balances – lets break them down and discover new edges in our practice! Her classes these days are often themed around gratitude – there is so much magic and healing to be found in the practice of gratitude for ourselves and for those who have crossed our path in life.
Brittany’s teaching style is warm, friendly, fun & has an element of challenge in her classes. She aims to make challenging yoga asanas accessible and strongly emphasizes gratitude in all her classes. You will leave Brittany’s class with a sense of accomplishment, a bit of sweat and gratitude!
